The Holiday Season

There simply isn’t a better time of year, a fire roaring in the wood stove of the cabin, raccoons on the tailgate of a truck, the big bucks are roaming the woods, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and then the Grand American is right around the corner. I remember near sleepless nights, starting in September, from the anticipation of setting a few muskrat traps, sitting in a tree stand and the thought of turning my red dog loose in the hills around Mohawk Village. The time to make future great memories is here, I hope you are enjoying yourself.

The Holiday Season

Does anything make the house smell better than a turkey in the oven?

Amber and I are empty nesters now as Wyatt headed off to college in early Fall. We have already taken in a few of his college games, but we sure miss having him around, hearing the bouncing of the ball and the clanking of weights which rang out from the shop for so many years. Life continually changes and mine has been wonderful and many of those reasons are because of you folks. I can’t thank you enough for making my dreams come true.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and good hunting, friends! Our family wishes you the happiest of Holiday and Hunting seasons!!

Stack of coons and a ZEPP hunting dog box.

I dreamed of a night’s haul of raccoons like this as a kid. It is one of the things that makes November a magical month for so many of us.
